Biomechanical assessment
For the aches that come from how you move, not just from your feet.
Musculoskeletal and sports podiatrists are specialists of the foot, ankle and lower limb. Musculoskeletal podiatry is the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of biomechanical conditions primarily affecting the lower limbs. These conditions may lead to acute or longer-term problems, and are sometimes called over-use injuries.
Podiatrists trained in musculoskeletal practice can identify the cause and origin of lower limb dysfunction, which means we can often resolve conditions that make walking, running and standing an unpleasant experience.
We provide complete biomechanical assessments to help determine the causes of your foot and lower limb problems. There can be many causes of ankle, knee or heel pain. We will help you find the cause of the discomfort and prescribe an appropriate treatment plan, which may include custom orthotics, prescription exercises and footwear advice.
We can help with
- Foot pain
- Heel pain
- Shin splints
- Tendonitis
- Calf pain
- Hip and back pain
A biomechanical assessment takes longer than a standard appointment, so it is priced separately. See the pricing page.
